Terms of Service and User Agreement

1 month Guaranteed Service Period

The 1 month Guaranteed Service Period provides access to Learn Russian: Step-by-step, Volume 1 on the Listen2Russian.com website for one month from the date of payment.

1. During this period we will credit a time extension to your Guaranteed Service Period for any offline / downtime period that the Listen2Russian.com website endures consecutively for more than 48 hours, or if the total downtime exceeds 72 hours during the Guaranteed Service Period. Occasionally all websites must be taken offline for scheduled maintenance - these time periods will not be credited to your Guaranteed Service Period unless the total downtime exceeds 72 hours within your Guaranteed Service Period.

2. We are not responsible for any blockage or problem between a computer and the Listen2Russian.com web server that results in a customer not being able to view the content of Learn Russian: Step-by-step, Volume 1 - we are only responsible for downtime caused by the Listen2Russain.com server, or the website content going offline. If other customers can access Learn Russian: Step-by-step, Volume 1 on the Listen2Russian.com website then it is a problem with your connection, not the Listen2Russian.com server or website. Please call your Internet Service Provider (ISP) if you are experiencing any connection problems, and if that fails then please email us and we can teach you how to use an internet proxy, which may help you circumnavigate problems with your connection.

3. Account suspensions and terminations are not considered downtime, and the time duration of these periods will not be credited to your account, nor will any monetary refund be provided.

4. Under no circumstances will any monetary refund be offered unless the Listen2Russian.com website goes permanently offline during your Guaranteed Service Period, or if the Listen2Russian.com server downtime exceeds 2 weeks during your 1 month Guaranteed Service Period. Downtime periods of less than 2 weeks (but exceeding 72 hours) will result in a time extension being credited to your Guaranteed Service Period, but no monetary refund will be offered.

5. Customers will NOT be notified when the Guaranteed Service Period ends after 1 month, but may be automatically offered the option to subscribe to the 11 month Discretionary Service Period provided their account has not been suspended or terminated. You may email us anytime to check when your Guaranteed Service Period ends, or check your PayPal payment receipt (the Guaranteed Service Period is active for 1 month from the date of payment).

11 months Discretionary Service Period - Free of charge (NO RECURRING PAYMENTS)

The Discretionary Service Period will only be offered to eligible customers. 'Eligible Customers' are those who have not violated the Listen2Russian.com Account Sharing Policy (see below) during the Guaranteed Service Period.

The Discretionary Service Period is granted free-of-charge to customers by the management of Listen2Russian.com and is thus associated with its own Terms and Conditions of Service, independent of the Guaranteed Service Period Terms and Conditions of Service.

1. The Discretionary Service Period provides access to Learn Russian: Step-by-step, Volume 1 on the Listen2Russian.com website for 11 months, beginning from the date of termination of the 1 month Guaranteed Service Period.

2. During the Discretionary Service Period, any offline / downtime period (for any reason) that the Listen2Russian.com website endures will not result in a time extension being credited to a customer's account, nor any monetary compensation or refund. The Discretionary Service Period is made available to each eligible customer free-of-charge at the discretion of the Listen2Russian.com management, and does not come with any guarantees or warranties, either express or implied, regarding service or content delivery.

3. Under no circumstances will any monetary refund be offered to a customer during or after their Discretionary Service Period, even if the Listen2Russian.com website goes permanently offline. While the management of Listen2Russian.com will endeavor to keep the Listen2Russian.com website online we do not make any guarantees or promises about the availability of Learn Russian: Step-by-step, Volume 1 during the Discretionary Service Period.

4. For each customer, the Discretionary Service Period can be granted and withdrawn at any time, at the discretion of the management of Listen2Russian.com. No time extensions or monetary refunds will be credited to a customer's account if the customer's account is suspended or terminated.

Listen2Russian.com Account Sharing Policy

Listen2Russian.com has a zero tolerance for account sharing. Please do not share your account details with anyone. We have deliberately made the language course inexpensive so that multiple accounts can easily be purchased if necessary.

1. The Listen2Russian.com customer management system employs advanced techniques for detecting multiple logins from a single account. Multiple logins from a single account are considered evidence of violation of the Listen2Russian.com Account Sharing Policy and will result in an immediate restriction of access for that account that has violated the Account Sharing Policy.

2. If the management of Listen2Russian.com detects multiple logins from a single account then management reserves the right to suspend or terminate that account. Customer accounts that are suspended or terminated are not eligible for any time extensions nor monetary refunds or compensations, even during the 1 month Guaranteed Service Period.

3. It is standard practice for management to give a customer one warning the first time that multiple logins are detected on their account. Usually this will result in a suspension of the account, analysis of the extent of account sharing (which may take several days or a week), an email to the customer asking why the account details were shared, resetting of the customer's password, and, if the management is satisfied that the customer will not violate the Account Sharing Policy a second time, reinstatement of the account. However, in cases of extreme violation of the Account Sharing Policy, or if management is not satisfied that the customer will not violate the Account Sharing Policy a second time, management reserves the right to immediately terminate an account without a warning, and block the IP address of the account if required.

Listen2Russian.com Fair Usage Policy

The purchase price of Learn Russian: Step-by-step, Volume 1 is restricted to private, individual usage. No institutional or business accounts may be purchased without prior arrangement.

1. It is prohibited to allow 3rd parties to access the content of Learn Russian: Step-by-step, Volume 1 through an account in an institutional, organizational, or business context.

2. Learn Russian: Step-by-step, Volume 1 is a multi-media language course that requires the transfer of graphics and audio data over the internet. Customer accounts may be suspended when their bandwidth (the amount of data downloaded from the Listen2Russian.com web server) significantly exceeds the average customer bandwidth (specifically, two standard deviations from the mean bandwidth calculated over the period of one week). This usually occurs where a customer has allowed 3rd party access to their account, such as a teacher allowing students to use his/her account at a language school. The Listen2Russian.com management has made the purchase price very low so that students can purchase individual accounts.
